When the Block lamp was introduced in 1996, design juries and lovers of beautiful objects took it to their heart, where it remained. The Block lamp, designed by Harri Koskinen is still one of Design House Stockholm's most popular products. With its unique features and scandinavian touch, it has been part of MoMA, Museum of Modern Art in New York's collection since 2000.
Each part of the lamp is hand cast and it undergoes an extremely long cooling process to avoid cracking later on if exposed to strong temperature changes. The matt bulb shape is sandblasted. The electric bulb is not included.
